Book Your Free Trial Class

The TutorWick trial class is a free, 45-minute, one-to-one online lesson with no card details and no obligation. You choose the subject and exam board you are studying — Cambridge IGCSE, Pearson Edexcel International GCSE, AQA GCSE, Cambridge International A Level or Pearson Edexcel IAL — tell us your country and grade, and we confirm your slot on WhatsApp. The tutor assesses your current level, teaches a real topic rather than giving a sales pitch, and sends a written summary with a recommended learning plan afterwards.

Fill in your details and our team will get in touch with you.

What Happens in Your Free Trial Lesson

A TutorWick trial lesson runs in four stages: a short introduction, a diagnostic on the topics you name, live teaching of one real topic from your syllabus, and a plan for what comes next. Nothing is recorded or shared without your consent, and no payment is taken at any point.

  1. Introductions (5 minutes)

The tutor meets you, confirms the exam board and the topics you find hardest.

  2. A short diagnostic (10 minutes)

A handful of questions to place the current level. No score is published and no report goes to a school.

  3. Live teaching (25 minutes)

One real topic from the syllabus, taught properly. Not a demo, not a sales pitch.

  4. What comes next (5 minutes)

The tutor sets out what a study plan would cover, and answers questions about scheduling.

What You Receive Afterwards

After the trial you receive a written summary from the tutor within 24 hours, covering what was assessed, the topics that need work, and a recommended study plan. You receive it by email and on WhatsApp, and there is no obligation to book further lessons.

  • A written summary of the lesson and the diagnostic.
  • A recommended study plan with a suggested weekly session count.
  • A tutor recommendation with the tier that matches the goal, linked to our tutoring prices.
  • A direct WhatsApp thread with the academic consultant.

Trial Lesson FAQs

  • Does a parent need to attend the trial class?

A parent does not need to attend a TutorWick trial class, though you are welcome to. For students under 16 we ask that a parent or guardian is contactable during the session and receives the written summary afterwards.

  • What should my child prepare before the trial class?

Bring the exam board, the current topic at school and two or three questions that are causing trouble — a photo of a worksheet is enough. Nothing needs printing, and no software beyond a browser is required.

  • How do you choose which tutor teaches my trial class?

TutorWick matches a tutor from the subject and grade you select on the form, the topics you name, and the time zone you book in. If the match is wrong, tell the academic consultant and the next lesson is with a different tutor at no charge.

  • Can I cancel a booked trial class, and is there a fee?

You can cancel a booked trial class at any time by replying on WhatsApp or email, and there is no fee — the trial is free and no card details are held. Cancelling does not affect your ability to book again later.
